Art prints are a great accessory for any room. You can create a mood or convey a concept. For a better presentation of art prints, creating a great frame for it is essential. The picture up or down play can play any print, support the feeling or style you are creating for the room.

Measure the size of the print. Take note of the colors of the print and the room is in the choice of frame and mat, should harmonize with the surrounding colors. A print with many colors is most associated with a solid structure and a mat, such as black and white. A simple print can be accented with a cream or tan mat and frame. Select the frame type, including material which can be made out of, such as wood, metal or plastic. For more luxurious, wood like mahogany or walnut is a good choice for timber. For more everyday use, pine, cedar or poplar are good choices for paint colors in solid wood or plastic, wood or metal.

Decide whether the frame will be a main part of the print or if you want it to be barely noticeable and fade into the background. A thick frame, such as 2 or 3 inches can make a piece stand out, while a small frame, such as 1/4 to 1/2 inch, can fade into the background, making the actual print the spotlight. All tables should be set with a solid piece and made crystal clear to art prints. The only time the glass is omitted if the image is the original painted canvas.

Choose the shape and color mat if used. A carpet can trigger a print, making it the focus. It also updates an image, make a piece more finished look normal and defined. Carpet should accentuate the image, not stand out or hit the box. For example, a black and white image can conflict with a cream-colored carpet, but harmonize better with the black, white or gray. Decide the size of the mat. It can be anywhere from 1/2 inch to 6 inches wide. If the image is a large box, use a small rug, usually 1 to 2 inches wide. When a picture is small, but you want to display in a large frame, a large mat should accompany it.

Configure the image of the mat to ensure that the colors look good together with the frame color. They should all work well together. If one stands or clashes, can make the whole piece look disorganized and be an eyesore. Use a cutter to cut the carpet mat with the image size. These have a long metal ruler with a slide holding the razor at an angle of 45-degrees. The rule prevents the sheet metal slide so that the cut is straight. The angle of the razor blade in the table gives it a polished look. If a mat cutter is not available, a standard razor blade or cutter of the box can be used with metal ruler, cut at right angles.

Align the blade with the inner side of the mat. Press down firmly and slide against metal ruler down to the inside corner next. Repeat for each side, until the middle box is cut and removed. This is where the image is placed. Line the picture up on the mat. Check the settings to make sure everything is right and not cut any important piece off. The use of free acid of tape to keep the image instead of on the back of the mat.

Place the piece of glass in the frame edges routed, followed by the mat if used, then the image, then a piece of cardboard to keep it in place. Use clamps to hold everything together or using retaining clips. Attach hanging hardware on the back, and hang out at the desired location.
